Goals:
- This course is designed to provide an in-depth study of selected areas in
biomedical image analysis leading to the ability to understand contemporary
terminology, progress, issues, and trends.
- The interdisciplinary nature of biomedical image analysis is emphasized in the wide
variety of examples and applications presented with both slide
and video materials.
- This semester we will focus on
- Medical Image Analysis
- Vascular Image Segmentation
- Image Registration
- Computer Aided Diagnosis
- Shape-based Medical Image Computing
Prerequisites
Programming in C and C++. Knowledge of Biomedical Image Analysis, Digital Image Processing and Computer Vision would be useful but not necessary. Courses in Image Processing and Pattern Recognition can be taken concurrently.
Evaluation
The course grade will be computed as follows:
